Summer Fun in the Sun

It's hard to believe that we're getting to the point in the year to start making summer plans. Families are planning vacations, friends are planning weekend getaways. But what about those days during the summer you're in Savannah? As much as you love your kids, hearing two months worth of "I'm bored" or "I want to do something" will get old... FAST.

For those times that you just can't bring yourself to go to the pool in an effort to avoid smelling like chlorine and the chance of a sunburn you know you'll regret the next day, have them signed up for one of the many summer camps offered all around the city.

Savannah is such a unique place. There is something everyone to enjoy from the history buff to the outdoorsman to the art enthusiast and beyond. That same eclectic melting pot is reflected in the camps available to the youth of the city.

We are proud sponsors of the Prep Sports Report Girls Basketball Camp. This camp is open to rising 3rd through 12th graders and will take place on June 15th and 16th from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the St. Vincent's Academy gym located on the corner of East Harris Street and Lincoln Street. The cost is $125 and includes a camp t-shirt, water, gatorade, and instruction from excellent coaches and special guests. Spaces are limited so call The Prep Sports Report at 912.660.7382 to sign up.

Sylvan Learning of Savannah also has summer camps beginning May 22nd for those wishing to boost confidence and enhance academic skills so your child will be able to start the new school year strong. Call 912.355.2267 for more information and to sign up today.
